What is the best staging of the launch for the new website?

The new website is currently named http://main.itsoc.sixfeetup.com/, and we ultimately want it to become http://www.itsoc.org/

There a many ways to proceed, but here is a working plan:

1. Give the new website the interim name http://new.itsoc.org/ as we engage more Committee Chairs (including the Officers and BoG) and prepare for the Officer's meeting (can be done by Friday, Jan. 30, 2009)
2. Online Committee recommends official launch of the new site at the Officer's meeting (Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009)
3. If approved by the Officers, the new site gets renamed http://www.itsoc.org/ as quickly as possible (likely by Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009).  The name http://new.itsoc.org/ will redirect to http://www.itsoc.org/ for some period of time.
