Research Interests

Weiyu Xu received his B.E. degree in Information Engineering from Beijing
University of Posts and Telecommunications in 2002, a M.S. degree in
Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University in 2005 and a M.S.
degree in Electrical Engineering from California Institute of
Technology in 2006. Since 2005, he has been working towards the
Ph.D. degree in the Electrical Engineering Department of California
Institute of Technology with a minor in Applied and Computational
Mathematics. He was honored as an outstanding graduate of Tsinghua
University in 2005, a recipient of the Information Science and
Technology Fellowship at California Institute of Technology and a
finalist for the Best Student Paper Award at the 2008 IEEE
International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing
(ICASSP). His research interests are in signal processing,
compressive sensing, communication networks, information theory and
coding theory.
