Mohammad Javad Emadi was born in Shiraz, Iran, on November 13, 1983. He received the B.Sc. degree (first-class honors) in electrical engineering, from Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic), Tehran, Iran in 2006, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Communication Systems from Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran in 2008 and 2013, respectively. He has been with Communication Theory Lab., Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm, Sweden in 2012-2013.

Since September 2013, he has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering (EE), Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic), Tehran, Iran.  His current research interests concern information and communication theory, wireless communications recent emphasis on 5G key-enabling technologies such as massive MIMO, C-RAN and green communications. He served as the Executive and Technical Committee of Iran Workshop on Communication and Information Theory (IWCIT) 2015-2017 and ICSPIS 2017.

Dr. Emadi is the recipient of the 2010 Best Student Paper Awards of the IEEE Swe-CTW 2012 and 3th ranking in the 24th Khwarizmi International Award (KIA).
