From March 1998 to June 1999 I was a Postoctoral Fellow at the University of California, Berkeley . Upon returning to Australia I took up a position as Lecturer at the University of Sydney where I stayed for two years. Since July 2001, I have been with the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Melbourne, where I am now a Professor. My research interests are in communications theory and statistical signal processing with current focus on wireless communications networks.
