Schools of Information Theory are short workshops aimed towards giving students an educational experience that will introduce them to new research frontiers in Information Theory.

Postponed: 2020 European School of Information Theory

The 2020 European School of Information Theory will be held in Stuttgart, Germany, and is POSTPONED from May 25 - 29 to September/October 2020. Stuttgart is among the largest cities of Germany and is home of major companies such as Bosch, Mercedes-Benz, and Porsche. Several airlines have direct flights to Stuttgart International Airport from different European cities and Stuttgart Main Station is a major hub of the European high-speed railroad system.

Canceled: 2020 North American School of Information Theory

Considering the world-wide situation and outlook regarding COVID-19, we have decided to cancel the 2020 IEEE North American School of Information Theory. Originally, the 2020 North American School of Information Theory had been scheduled to be held July 8-10, 2020 at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada.

2019 North American School of Information Theory

NASIT 2019 will be held July 2 - 5 at Boston University in Boston, MA, USA.

2019 European School of Information Theory

The 2019 European School of Information Theory (ESIT) was held in the French Riviera during April 15-19

2018 North American School of Information Theory

The 2018 edition of NASIT will be held at Texas A&M University.

2018 IEEE European School of Information Theory (ESIT), May 7-11

The 2018 edition of the IEEE European School of Information Theory (ESIT), organized by Enrico Paolini (University of Bologna), Gianluigi Liva (German Aerospace Center), and Georg Böcherer (Technical University of Munich), will be held Bertinoro (Italy) from May 7th to May 11th, 2018. The venue will be the University Residential Centre of Bertinoro.
