Each year six vacancies are created on the Board of Governors by terms expiring on December 31st. To fill these six positions, a ballot containing a list of at least twelve nominees is submitted by mail to the entire voting membership of the Society. The list of nominees is selected by the Board of Governors at the Society's annual meeting by accepting, adding to, or otherwise modifying, a list of twelve or more nominees submitted by the Nominations Subcommittee. The Nominations Subcommittee consists of the President (Sergio Verd\'u), the First Past President (Jerry Gibson), and the Second Past President (Bruce Hajek), with the First Past President serving as chair. Nominations for candidates to appear on the Board of Governors ballot are being solicited and should be submitted by June 21st to the Nominations Subcommittee chair, Jerry Gibson, (e-mail nominations are preferred). Please include a short biographical sketch and a statement of why the candidate is qualified for consideration by the Nominations Subcommittee.
