Research Interests

Tsung-Yi Chen is currently a Ph.D candidate in the UCLA Electrical Engineering Department. He is working with Communication System Laboratory under the supervision of Professor Richard Wesel. He received his M.S. degree in 2009 from UCLA and his B.S degree in 2007 from National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan. His research interest includes coding theory and information theory. His recent work includes achieving low-latency communications with feedback and designing a new class of rate-compatible LDPC codes, the protograph-based raptor-like(PBRL) LDPC codes.
