Biography:

Nihar Jindal received the B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from U.C. Berkeley in 1999, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University in 2001 and 2004. Since 2004, he has been an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Minnesota. His research spans the fields of information theory and wireless communication, with specific interests in multiple-antenna/multi-user channels, sensor and ad-hoc networks, and dynamic resource allocation. He is currently an editor for the IEEE Transactions on Communications, a guest editor for a special issue of EURASIP, and is also on the technical program committee of several conferences such as ISIT, ICC, and Globecom.  Dr. Jindal was the recipient of the 2005 IEEE Communications Society and Information Theory Society Joint Paper Award, the McKnight Land-Grant Professorship in 2007, and the NSF CAREER award in 2008.
