Anand Sarwate is a Postdoctoral researcher at the Information Theory and Applications Center at UC San Diego. He started there after finishing his PhD in 2008 as a graduate student in the Sensory Information Processing and Communication group under Michael Gastpar, which is part of the Wireless Foundations Center in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences department at UC Berkeley. Before coming to Berkeley, he was at MIT, where he earned undergraduate degrees in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics with minors in Theater Arts and Music.
