Biography:

Profile

With over 20 years’ experience working client side for RMS, John offers peace of mind in managing compliance, design verifications, Traffic Impact and Utilities relocation on RMS administered roads.  Road Asset provision (traffic signals; street lighting; moveable medians; Variable message signage) includes overhead and underground assets (public utilities identification and adjustment) and ongoing maintenance.

Transport projects:

• Overhead and underground Utilities needs analysis and adjustments

•coordination with utility authorities to schedule the required modifications

•Experience along with the ability to establish good customer relationships and possess excellent communication skills.

•Proven experience leading teams of technical authors and analysts, or other equivalent experiences,

•Strong understanding of the fundamentals of reliability centered maintenance (RCM), principals of root cause and the analysis of data including mean time between failures (MTBF) and failure mode, effects and criticality analysis (FMECA).

 

RMS Reviewing and Verification of Projects utilities involvement:

•Variable Message Signs (VMS) upgrade Silverwater-Parramatta (M4) and Waterfall-Bulli Freeway (M1).

•Tidal Flow upgrade for Canal Road Sydenham-St Peters.

•General Holms Drive tunnel in-pavement lighting.

Major Projects:

• Street light: updated to use Light emitting diode (LED) technologies to comply with NSW government environmental objectives.

• In-pavement lighting and lane changes: Overhead and underground communication backbone and power (General Holms Drive tunnel and approaches to bridges: Gladesville; Iron Cove; Sydney Harbour; Canal Road Sydenham-St Peters)

• Traffic signals:  low voltage and LED lantern (lights)

• Assets Funders-Owners (Directors; GM's etc) 'go-to-guys' to correct and realign projects that failed,

• Environmental compliance: Recycling electrical waste produced by RMS and RMS contractors. Use of environmentally friendly electrical products used in electrical installation and maintenance.
