Associate Online Editors

Similar to the Transactions, it may make sense to identify specific areas or content to be managed by Associate Online Editors. What areas make sense? At what stage of their career should an Associate Online Editor be? How long should the appointment be?

Areas

  • Major
    • Committees & Chapters [Anand]
    • Symposia, Workshops, & Schools [Matthieu]
    • Newsletter (News & Events) [Amin]
    • BoG Reporting & Coordination [Nick]
  • Minor
    • Migration
    • Registrations
    • Lectures
    • Review & Tutorial Articles
    • Blogs
    • Photos (and Media?)
    • Awards
    • Dissertations & Jobs
    • IEEE web liaison [Adriaan]
    • Fire Fighter

Positions

Associate Online Editors could be post-docs and above who are committed to serving the Society for a period of two years.  It probably makes sense to stagger the appointments as in other Committees.  The number of positions will be approved by the BoG upon recommendations from the Online Editor.

Volunteers

  • Matthieu Bloch, GTL
  • Jean-Francois Chamberland, TAMU
  • Amin Mobasher, Waterloo
  • Stefan Moser, NCTU
  • Mehul Motani, NUS
  • Anand Sarwate, UCSD
  • Adriaan J. van Wijngaarden, Bell Laboratories

covering number of 2?

We should have each area covered by two people perhaps, a primary and a secondary, so that if some huge amount of work comes up the load can be balanced and updates can happen quickly.

Would there be any forum or place for discussion in the website? Maybe that can also be categorized under Areas?
