Research Fellow: Markov Random Fields

1 year fixed term contract (renewable subject to funding)

The successful candidate will conduct a mix of fundamental and applied research, contributing to an Australian Research Council Discovery Project “Random Markov Fields theory applied to Sensor Networks Analysis". The project will deliver novel decentralised protocols for sensor networks operation optimisation and we seek a researcher with experience in the area of statistical signal processing and physics to join our team. The successful candidate will also possess basic knowledge of sensor networks.

The Institute for Telecommunications Research (ITR) is Australia’s largest University‐based telecommunications technology research  
organisation, and is internationally recognised for excellence in the areas of information theory, error control coding, mobile broadband, cellular, wireless and satellite communications. ITR is home to a  broad range of research activities, from basic theory and commercially funded applied projects, right through to development of high‐quality software and hardware products for industry.
