Postdoctoral Fellow Position at the National University of Singapore
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the National University of Singapore is offering a position for a postdoctoral fellowship to work with Prof. Vincent Tan.

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the National University of Singapore is offering a position for a postdoctoral fellow who will work primarily on problems in privacy and security from an information-theoretic perspective. Working on other topics of interest to the PI (Vincent Tan) is also very much encouraged. Some sample topics include:

i) Information theory: Second-order and strong converse techniques, finite blocklength analysis, error exponent analysis, quantum information.
ii) Machine learning: Ranking problems, dictionary learning problems, information-theoretic techniques applied to statistical learning

The position is expected to last for at least 1.5 years. The candidate is expected to have a PhD in electrical engineering, computer science or mathematics and a strong publication record in information theory, signal processing, or statistical learning. The candidate will work closely with Dr. Vincent Tan and will use the postdoctoral stint to develop a strong research profile that will enable him/her to find a good faculty position.
