2011 IEEE Information Theory Workshop

The 2011 IEEE Information Theory Workshop (ITW 2011) will take place on October 16-20, 2011 in Paraty, Brazil. Paraty is a quaint historical village, founded in 1597, located on the Brazilian coast, at about equal distances from Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. The intimate town environment is conducive to rich exchanges among workshop participants.

Panel "New Perspective in Information Theory"

The scope of the Workshop includes, but is not limited to, the following topics:

•    Graph-based codes and iterative decoding
•    Codes, lattices and cryptography
•    Physical layer security
•    Multi-terminal information theory
•    Distributed source and channel coding
•    Quantum computing and coding
•    Coding for wireless systems
•    Information Theory in Biology
•    Compressed sensing

 

There will be plenary talks, invited and contributed sessions and a panel discussion. The IEEE ITW 2011 proceedings will be published by IEEE, and the accepted papers will be avaiable at  IEEE Xplore. The paper submission deadline is May 13, 2011, with notification of acceptance on July 20, 2011.
