New Topics at the Interface Between Probability and Communications

This is the inaugural workshop of the programme on Stochastic Processes in Communication Sciences. It brings together several leading experts studying problems in the modern communication sciences using stochastic techniques. The interplay between these fields has been enormously fruitful over the last couple of decades, with stochastic techniques making an impact on the development of communication systems and problems in communications leading to new developments in the theory of stochastic processes. The aim of the workshop is to survey these developments and to map out possible pathways for the synergistic evolution of these fields in the future.
