DESCRIPTION:The Data Compression Conference (DCC) is an international 
 forum for current work concerning data compression and related applica
 tions. The conference addresses not only compression methods for speci
 fic types of data (text\, images\, video\, audio\, medical and scienti
 fic data\, graphics\, web content\, etc.)\, but also the use of techni
 ques from information theory and data compression in networking\, comm
 unications\, and storage applications involving large datasets (includ
 ing image and information mining\, retrieval\, archiving\, backup\,  c
 ommunications\, and HCI). Both theoretical and experimental work are\n
 of interest.
